Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 March 2026
TrackdNZ is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
01 — Who we are
TrackdNZ is a product built and operated in Christchurch, Aotearoa New Zealand. We build tools to help NZ gig workers track expenses, mileage, and income for tax purposes.
For privacy enquiries, contact us at: hello@trackdnz.nz
02 — What we collect
On the waitlist, we collect:
- Your email address
- Your gig worker type (rideshare, Airbnb, freelancer, tradie) — if you choose to share it
- The date and time you signed up
- Which form on the page you used (hero or footer)
We do not collect your name, phone number, or any financial information at this stage. We do not use cookies or tracking pixels on the waitlist page.
03 — How we use your information
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Send you a confirmation email acknowledging your waitlist signup
- Notify you when TrackdNZ launches, including any founding member pricing
- Send you relevant product updates — tailored to your gig worker type if you provided it
We will never sell your data to third parties. We will never share it with advertisers. We will only email you about TrackdNZ.
04 — Where your data is stored
Your signup details are stored securely in Supabase, a database platform with servers located in AWS data centres. Email delivery is handled by Resend. Both services comply with industry-standard security practices.
Your data is stored in the United States on these platforms. By signing up, you consent to this transfer.
05 — How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist data for as long as TrackdNZ is in operation, or until you ask us to remove it. If TrackdNZ does not launch, we will delete all waitlist data within 90 days of that decision.
06 — Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information at any time
- Unsubscribe from all communications at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@trackdnz.nz and we will respond within 5 working days.
07 — Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify waitlist members by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
